Pacific Geomatics Ltd. (PacGeo) provides remote sensing data and customized services to private and public clients in Canada and worldwide. PacGeo is a privately owned Canadian corporation in business since 1988. Working primarily with optical Earth Observation (EO) satellites, we provide expert advice, appropriate data, and program solutions in the land and coastal environment, flight simulation, and renewable and non-renewable resource sectors.

Pacific Geomatics has been at the forefront of satellite EO applications since its inception. In the late 1980’s PacGeo was a leader in the fusing of SPOT and Landsat data to produce the best possible spatial definition and spectral information of the BC coastline. In the mid-1990’s PacGeo was building large area ortho mosaics for regional exploration, and creating cost-share models to reduce the high cost of data. By 2005 we were mapping most of BC at either 2.5m or 5m resolution. In 2010 our focus is on large-area data sets from high-resolution satellite systems such as Quickbird and Worldview.

In the private sector we are a principal supplier of flight simulation textures to CAE Inc., the world’s leading supplier of commercial flight simulators. We are the principal supplier of high-resolution satellite imagery to several of the leading mining companies in Canada, USA, Africa, and Australia. In addition to large area image mosaics PacGeo is breaking new ground with satellite elevation mapping at 1m contour intervals, project mapping at consistent and precise positional accuracy, and site re-visit programs for consistent annual reporting.
