National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) is one of the centres of Indian Space Research Organisation under the Department of Space, Govt. of India, engaged in operational remote sensing activities. The operational use of remote sensing data span wide spectrum of themes which include water resources, agriculture, soil and land, minerals, geomorphologic mapping, coastal, environment, ecology and forest mapping, land use and land cover mapping and urban area studies, large scale mapping, etc. One of the major activities of NRSC is satellite data distribution from foreign satellites QUICKBIRD, WORLDVIEW-1 and WORLDVIEW-2.
